Combination of temporomandibular disorder and trigeminal neuralgia in adolescent: a case report

Trigeminal neuralgia was uncommon in people younger than 30 years of age. Only 1% cases reportedly occurring those 20 age, so that this case is quite rare. The diagnosis temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) also present along with the trigeminal and confirmed by head TMJ MRI. This article describes a 17-years-old females who sought help because pain right side her face, from temple area down to cheek TMJ, continuing lower jaw sometimes at back ear. She reported increased during chewing or otherfunctional activity. already lasted for almost two debilitating. patient treated combi-nation pharmacotherapy treating neuralgia, physical therapy (jaw exercise) stabilization appliance, order reduce restore normal function jaw.It concluded TMD can be simultaneously obtained good result.
